This one million square foot mixed-use commercial office tower along the Chicago River was modeled for Rubloff Development. SMU transferred the architect's drawings onto AutoCAD from which the building core, skins, mullions, site pavements and roof were laser cut and scored. Five granite colors, reflective and clear glazing, spandrels, columns, site pavements and even the clock faces were laser cut. All material colors, textures and patterns were carefully matched from provided samples. The lobby interiors were detailed, landscaped and lit with a series of tiny fluorescent bulbs. Even the clock on top of the tower had a backlit face and working hands.
